There is no 'moving mail around' to a new PST because it's all in the cloud/on the server if on prem. He shouldn't have a PST, he should only have an OST.

Let's backup with the PST related recommendations.

I'd greatly appreciate if anyone else has any ideas that I could try or should I just re-build it and hope it makes it better? I'm currently in the process of re-creating his profile with the shared mailboxes set to run in online mode to make his OST file smaller to see if that resolves the issue, he's also got a 5GB Archive file (.PST) though. Disabled Add-ins and started in safemode.I've now upgraded him to an SSD and cloned the HDD to it, the winsat test is now coming back around 250MB/s but the user is still experiencing hangs although I'm sure they're not as bad. It will freeze while typing e-mails and looking through the inbox.įirst I noticed that his OST had reached 5GB which apparently is where you can start to run into performance issues ( Opens a new window), I did a winsat test on the link above and it came back at 3MB/s. One of my users is having issues with Outlook freezing constantly and it's driving me mad.
